DANISH AMBASSADOR PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO ARMENIAN PRESIDENT
 The newly-appointed Danish Ambassador to Armenia Merete Juhl (residence in Kiev) presented today her credentials to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, the presidential press service said. The president congratulated the ambassador on her appointment and wished her success. He underlined that Armenia attaches importance to Armenian-Danish relations and cooperation in various spheres and is interested in the development and expansion of interstate links with Denmark. In his words, the opening of the Armenian embassy in Copenhagen in 2011 is also evidence of that. Ambasador Merete Juhl also stressed the importance of opening the Armenian embassy in Copenhagen, noting that for Denmark, it was a signal showing that Armenia seeks to promote cooperation with Denmark. She assured the Armenian president that given the existing potential, she will do her best to strengthen and develop bilateral cooperation. The sides also discussed development of Armenian-Danish ties as part of cooperation between Armenia and the European Union. | |
