As known, during its 39th session in November 2017 the General Conference of UNESCO will elect, by secret ballot, the person proposed by the 58-member Executive Board as the next Director-General of UNESCO. There are nine candidates nominated from nine countries. Each candidate has submitted his/her background information along with the vision statement. The government of Azerbaijan has nominated Mr. Polad Bülbüloglu as a candidate for the post of Director General of UNESCO.

The National Defense Research University of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia (NDRU, MoD, RA) hosted the newly-appointed Military and Air Attaché of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) in the RA, Senior Colonel Zhan Fenghua. The guest was welcomed by the Head of the NDRU, Doctor of Political Science, Professor, Lieutenant-General Hayk Kotanjian. The meeting was also attended by the NDRU Deputy Head for Research – Head of the Institute for National Strategic Studies (INSS), PhD in History Benyamin Poghosyan and NDRU INSS Research Fellow, PhD in Economics Azat Davtyan.

The New York Times reviewed videos and photos to track the actions of 24 men, including armed members of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s security detail, who attacked protesters in Washington last week. Many of the protesters were American citizens.
The men kicked people lying on the ground and put a woman in a chokehold just a mile from the White House. They outnumbered the protesters nearly two to one.

This vicious brawl has done more damage to the image of Turkey in the United States and around the world than any other brutality recently committed by Turkish soldiers, police or security guards inside Turkey. Turkish denialists constantly complain that Armenian ‘propaganda’ on the Armenian Genocide has stained the reputation of Turks worldwide, ignoring the fact that Turks have tarnished their own image by committing a mass heinous mass crime.
